You'll be back: As it turns out King George was talking to me directly

Hello from the UK, sorry for the long absence.

“Oh my god, ProfessorMeredith, where have you been!?!?!?”

I’ll grant you, it’s been a while since I wrote a post or recorded a podcast. This summer was an endlessly busy and stressful time for me. I was working full time (teaching culinary schools to high school students), but somehow that wasn’t the most stressful part of the summer.

No, that was packing to move 5,000 miles back across the Atlantic. I’m now in the UK and officially starting my second MA program, this time in Gender Studies (because I wasn’t enough of an insufferable feminist already).

My literary agent is still shopping my book to publishers, but I have a feeling I may have a full second MA before it comes out, so please be patient! I’ll be working on expanding my research throughout the year and will be sharing a few tidbits here and there on both the podcast, the Substack, and TikTok.

So here I am, in England (my Irish ancestors are screaming). I’m looking for work, but in the meantime I’d highly appreciate any paid subscriptions you could throw my way. I’ll be working to earn it!
