I love the Pitt. I love the characters & that they can be more than one thing. Abbott is my favorite but they’re all pretty great. I like getting frustrated or annoyed with them & surprised by them. It feels real. If that makes sense.
Absolutely! The show is just heartbreakingly real in so many ways. Not just the characters individually, but how they look at patients and the medical system.
I tell my sister she is my Jack Abbot. It's short hand now. For those people that stick with you no matter what.
The ride or die folks in your life are the best. This show feels understandable & comforting to me, even if it makes me scared or uncomfortable first. I did not like ER but I’ve loved other stuff Noah Wyle has been in either as nerdy librarian with issues or as a sort of likable grifter. I can’t wait to see all these actors in more things because they’re all really great.
Leverage Redemption! The Librarian! Falling Skies! He’s a great actor honestly. I’m watching ER now, but only because it’s for my PhD research. I don’t actually usually LOVE medical dramas, so The Pitt came out of nowhere and destroyed me.
I’m going to have to watch Falling Skies. I have all 3 Librarian movies & Both Leverages in my collection. I have a thing for complex characters. I relate to Parker the most, which should scare everyone. lol! These types of characters make me feel seen & valid.
Enjoyed this. I read another post on here a couple days ago where the author scathingly rebuked Robby for his treatment of Mohan. They wrote him off as a misogynist among other things. It bothered me because it kind of sidestepped the fact that he was at the end of his rope emotionally. He’s suicidal and lashing out and isolating himself because that’s what people do when they are in that state. “Morally filing” is such a succinct way to phrase it. Good stuff
Thank you! He's treatment of her isn't good, obviously. But I can think of six other things I'd call it before I ever got to misogyny (and even then that would be with the caveat that his abandonment issues extrapolate to not trusting women especially in times of distress, which hey, still something to get therapy for and not good, but not generally actually hating women). Mostly I see it as projection (she cares too much and gets overwhelmed because of it, which we saw Robby do in season 1) and he doesn't want her to turn out like him. He also hates himself for his inability to keep that wall between personal and professional, so he lashed out at that in another person.

Unfortunately I relate most to Robby. Which is why I started therapy halfway through season 2…
I’m not sure who I relate to most in the Pitt. Parker in Leverage is probably a good indicator that some therapy wouldn’t do me any harm either.
